Unity 2D Game Background and Camera Tutorial

Now that you have imported the camera into your scene, you will need to set it up. The first thing you will need to do is to determine the size and position of the camera. You can do this by adjusting the Transform component of the camera.

You will also need to set the projection type of the camera. This can be done by setting the Projection property of the Camera component. There are three different projection types that you can use:

  • Orthographic: This projection type creates a 2D view of the scene.
  • Perspective: This projection type creates a 3D view of the scene.
  • Freeform: This projection type gives you more flexibility in how you want to view the scene.

Creating a Scene unity 2d

In Unity, a scene is a collection of game objects that are arranged and configured to create a level or game world. Scenes can be created and edited in the Scene View window.

The Scene View window is used to create and edit scenes. It displays a view of the scene, and allows you to select and manipulate game objects in the scene.

  • To create a new scene, select File > New > Scene. The new scene will be displayed in the Scene View window.
  • To add a game object to the scene, select GameObject > Create Other > 3D Object. The 3D object will be added to the scene.
  • To edit the properties of a game object, select the game object in the Scene View window and select the Inspector tab in the Properties window. The Inspector tab displays the properties of the selected game object.
  • To move a game object, select the game object in the Scene View window and drag it to the desired location.
  • To rotate a game object, select the game object in the Scene View window and drag the rotation handles in the Scene View window.
  • To scale a game object, select the game object in the Scene View window and drag the scale handles in the Scene View window.
  • To delete a game object, select the game object in the Scene View window and press the Delete key.
  • To save the scene, select File > Save Scene. The scene will be saved in the Scenes folder.
  • To load a scene, select File > Open Scene. The scene will be loaded in the Scene View window.

Creating a GameObject with Unity

Creating a GameObject with Unity is a very simple process. First, you need to create a new Unity project.

  1. Once you have created the project, you need to create a new 3D object. To do this, go to the menu bar and select GameObject > 3D Object > Cube.
  2. Once you have created the cube, you need to select it and rename it. To do this, go to the menu bar and select Edit > Rename. Rename the cube to “Player”.
  3. Now, you need to add a component to the player. To do this, go to the menu bar and select Component > Physics > Rigidbody.

The Rigidbody component will add physics to the player. Now, when you run the game, the player will fall to the ground when you drop it.
